Food Recovery on the Run: Quick, Wholesome Community Meals for Women and Children


Women 2 Women grants $45k to A Simple Gesture - Greensboro to establish a system for regular donations of food that hasn't been served across Guilford County Schools, delivering it to recreation centers and other locations with after-school programs. When mothers pick up their children, they can also pick up a nutritious dinner at no cost. The project gets wholesome food to those who need it and keeps this food out of the trash. The grant will help expand the program to 30 schools in the first year, and 60 in the second year. Learn more: asimplegesture.org
